Steve Longoria was the student body Vice President and captain of the Varsity Soccer Team at North Central. He played in the marching band and jazz band and was the kicker for the Varsity Football Team.
After high school, Steve attended Gonzaga University, graduating Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering. He then earned his Master of Science degree in Mechanical Robotic Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
Steve went to work at IBM Corporation starting in 1990. During a twenty-year career with the company, his many roles included vice president of semiconductor solutions. Prior to leaving IBM, Steve was vice president of Asia Pacific sales with NetLogic Microsystems.
In 2011, Steve joined Soitec, a semiconductor manufacturer with headquarters in Bernin, France. In his position as Senior Vice President for World Strategic Business Development, Steve was given responsibility for Soitec’s strategic business development activities worldwide.
Announcing Steve’s new position in February 2011, Paul Boudre, Chief Operating Officer of Soitec, stated, “With his extensive knowledge of the overall microelectronics business, Steve Longoria is a perfect fit for our senior management team. He has consistently demonstrated sharp business development acumen and organizational management skills.”
