Karen Beardsley has sung leading roles in the foremost opera houses in New York, London, Paris, Singapore, Amsterdam, Taipei, Santiago, Los Angeles, and Chicago. She has appeared in concerts with the major symphony orchestras across the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Her dynamic voice and extraordinary acting talent have been applauded by audiences and critics alike. The New York Times described her as “an imaginative actress with a voice that seems to laugh at difficulties. The Daily News labeled her “sassy perfection” and New York Magazine called her “vocally radiant.”

Since 1996, Karen has been a member of the esteemed voice-related faculty at Manhattan School of Music, where she received her Masters Degree. She has been invited to each master classes in over 50 leading universities and colleges across the United States.

Karen was invited to be the leading adjudicator for the “Musicfest Northwest” voice competition in Washington State. It was after winning this same competition many years ago that she went to New York to pursue a professional career in music.
